River Road Interceptor

The River Road Interceptor was constructed as a part of an Agreed Order with the State of Kentucky and led to the elimination of five package treatment plants. The project included 4300 feet of 36-inch sewer, 1500 feet of 42-inch sewer and a parallel force main. The 42-inch sewer was up to 40 feet deep in some locations and included two crossings under Harrods Creek, a major navigable waterway as well as a crossing under State Highway 42. The 36-inch sewer included two road crossings and nine small creek crossings. The project also included easement acquisition across 22 properties.
